A few years ago I started documenting the Burleigh Pottery factory in Stoke on Trent. It was founded in 1862 and was the last remaining factory in the world to use the traditional skill, of underglaze tissue printing. Visiting the factory was like stepping back in time. Initially I was shooting straight images, but I was never happy, that I was really capturing the atmosphere of this historic establishment.
At around the same time, I received another commission to shoot some 360VR virtual tours for a web design company. As soon as I saw them I realised that this would be a great way to capture and share what I was witnessing at Burleigh.
The tour can be viewed in either a web browser or through VR Goggles (Click on the Goggle Icon). Click on the black arrows to navigate to different rooms. The images are full 360 views, click and hold your mouse button to look around. The Square icon will bring up short-cuts to other scenes. For a full page tour in a new tab click here.
