Martin Shakeshaft M.A. – Visual Journalist / Photographer / Lecturer.

Since studying Documentary Photography at Newport College of Art in 1985, Martin has worked as a Freelance Photojournalist, Videographer  and Lecturer.

Clients have included, The Sunday Times Magazine; BBC; Channel 4 Television; Dispatches; S4C; Greenpeace; The Economist; The Daily Mirror; The Independent; Newsweek Magazine and many others.

He has exhibited in the UK and abroad. ‘Strike84’ and ‘Look Back in Anger’ are available for hire. An exhibition of the ‘What is Landscape?’ work will be available in 2021. A selection of his work is housed in the National Museum of Wales’s permanent collection.

Martin is a CAA certified, commercial drone pilot.

He regularly runs workshops on a number of topics including Documentary Photography and Videography, Mobile Journalism (Mojo) and Landscape. He frequently teaches for the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).

Martin is a former Senior Lecturer in Photography and Video, at De Montfort University in Leicester. He is available to work on commissions and provide training and workshop services.
